The history of Super Lemon Haze

High Times and Green House Seeds place Super Lemon Haze’s breeding near the end of the 2000s and agree on Lemon Skunk × Super Silver Haze parentage.1,2 The best-corroborated dates are its back-to-back High Times Cannabis Cup wins in Amsterdam in 2008 and 2009.1,2,3

Why the name spread

The Cup results gave the Green House line a concise public history. High Times says the consecutive 2008 and 2009 Amsterdam wins brought the name beyond its original setting, while Green House calls the line a hit when it joined the Cannabis Cup.1,2

What the record does not establish

  • No exact release date was found on the sources opened for this guide; the sourcing supports only a late-2000s breeding window.1,2
  • The awards do not prove that every flower product carrying the name shares one genotype. Weedmaps says the broader Lemon Haze name covers several lines with different genetics.5
  • The later 2010–2013 awards are listed by Green House and partly recorded by SeedFinder, but their individual event records were not independently opened for this guide.2,3
